David Burton is a renowned still life photographer, producing high profile work for Sony, Mercedes-Benz and Diageo. We worked closely with him to design a new identity and full responsive site to showcase his brilliant photography.
We created a clean and simple typographic identity – which focused on the studio’s main service offers
- Brands, Food, Concept and Locations.
The four key areas were utilised on the site menu, to create a minimal navigation system.
Primarily to ‘showcase’ the large format photography for each of the four key areas, The site was designed to be very easy to navigate via horizontal scrolling (swipe), via an understated typographic menu and + symbols. Detailed case studies for specific projects could be viewed via the ‘+” symbols directly underneath the images.
Project updates / photographic content and studio news can be easily added via a simple wordpress CMS, which was a major consideration in the original brief/design/build of the site.
